Family members and friends gathered at the Massachusetts Nation Guard armory in Braintree on Monday morning to welcome home the members of the Nation Guard Charlie Company 1st Battalion, 182nd Infantry Regiment from their 10 month deployment to Afghanistan. With flags waving high, family members cheered as 2 buses arrived just before 10am escorted by two Braintree Police motorcycles. After an initial greeting outside of the armory, a small ceremony was held inside where the troops were officially dismissed into the care of their loved ones. Braintree Mayor Joseph Sullivan and Congressman Stephen Lynch offered words of thanks and encouragement to the returning men and women.
