Pedestrian Struck - Quincy, MA

For the 4th time in 2 weeks, Quincy Police responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting a pedestrian struck. This time, at 5:49pm on Thursday, the accident occurred at the intersection of Granite St and Parker St in front of 159 Granite St. It appears the victim, a male in his 50's, was crossing Granite Street at the time of the accident. There is no crosswalk in that area of Granite Street and at that time of night the area isn't very well lit. According to Quincy Police on scene, the victim was semi-conscious when they arrived and was moving around inside the ambulance. He was taken to Boston Medical Center for treatment of serious, but non-life threatening injuries. Granite St was closed between Fort St and the Granite St Connector while the Quincy PD Accident Reconstruction team worked to investigate the accident. The driver of the car, a female in her 40's, has not been charged or cited, and it is unclear at this time if any charges or citations will be filed pending the outcome of the investigation.
